1. Who we are

Cakes After Dark, LLC ("we", "us") runs this site and bakes the cakes. You can reach us at cclemans97@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

• Your name, email, and phone number when you create an account or place an order.
• Delivery address and event details for orders.
• Photos, inspiration links, and notes you upload with a cake request.
• Payment metadata from Stripe (we never see your full card number).
• Basic site usage data — pages visited, device type — to keep the site healthy.

3. How we use it

• To bake, schedule, and deliver your order.
• To send you order updates by email or SMS (when you've opted in).
• To respond to your messages and quote requests.
• To keep our records for accounting, tax, and dispute purposes.

We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it with advertisers.

4. Service providers (sub-processors)

We use a small number of trusted providers to actually run the site and fulfill orders. Each of them only sees the data they need:

• Multraverse— platform hosting, infrastructure, internal AI mockup tools (staff only)
• Stripe— payment processing
• Twilio (via Multraverse)— SMS order updates
• Resend (via Multraverse)— transactional email
• Lovable Cloud / Supabase— database, authentication, and file storage

6. Your rights

You can ask us to send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct anything that's wrong, or delete your account. Email us at the address above and we'll take care of it within a reasonable time. You can opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link, and out of SMS by replying STOP.

7. Data retention

We keep order records for up to 7 years for tax and accounting. We keep marketing contact info until you ask us to remove it. Photos and attachments tied to an order are deleted when the order record is.

8. Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Text messages

Text messages from Cakes After Dark are optional. You opt in by checking the SMS consent box on an order, inquiry, or pop-up shop form. Providing a phone number alone does not give consent. We send messages about your order, pickup or delivery details and replies to your questions only when you opt in. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time; reply HELP for help.

Mobile information and SMS opt-in data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
